AP CM promises land for PV Sindhu to set up badminton academy

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh chief minister, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, on Friday, promised to allot five acres of land within the port city of Visakhapatnam to ace shuttler PV Sindhu to set up a badminton academy for ladies. Sindhu met the leader minister inside the Secretariat, at the side of her dad and mom. The chief minister felicitated her on winning the gold medal in the latest WBF international championship and wished her more success in her destiny.

Talking to journalists later, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister M Srinivasa Rao said the chief minister has consented to Sindhu’s request for land to install the badminton academy. The chief minister additionally promised whatever assistance she needed, the minister stated. Sindhu later met Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan at the Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada. The national authorities felicitated Sindhu at a public feature in the evening.
