Do you do not forget who you were and the way you felt the moment you found out you had made our World Cup roster?
I was in Washington, D.C. I recollect Jill [Ellis, USA head coach] referred to me as proper before education. It kind of just gave me a sense of comfort that I was going to the World Cup. Playing towards Thailand and scoring a goal becomes virtually cool and fun. But seeing Lindsey [Horan], Sam [Mewis], and Rose [Lavelle] all scoring their first World Cup goals – I think that became a highlight of mine. The France game became high-quality too. The environment was awesome. It was the first time we felt like we were playing an away match. For every other recreation, I felt like we had the house to ourselves despite not being at home. Even though I didn’t play, that turned into probably one of my favorite games. We were gambling in the host country, and it was all or nothing. One of the craziest games I’ve been part of. It’s hard to put into words. They changed into large aid for the host countries, the USA, the Netherlands, and many others. How impressed were you with the aid of the environment?
