England has the little hazard of triumphing this year’s Rugby World Cup because the modern crop of players doesn’t understand a way to win video games. That’s the opinion of Steve Thompson. Eddie Jones’ team is one of the favorites to win the event for the first time in 2003; however, Thompson believes that they will not likely have the mental strength to prevail. ”The hassle with this England squad is that I don’t think they understand a way to win games,” Thompson told 888Sport. “We noticed in the Six Nations that they couldn’t close video games out in the 2nd half of. They get themselves in winning positions wherein they have to recover from the line mentally; they don’t use sufficient intellectual strength. That’s the toughest element to do in a World Cup – hold yourselves mentally difficult.
“We were very fortunate in my day with the leaders we had. All groups in recent times speak approximately their terrific leaders; however, England has Vunipola now, who is an outstanding player. However, he’s in all likelihood no longer the fine talker. Yet, they have got compelled him into being a frontrunner. “Ben Youngs is the same. He’s not a pacesetter but a maverick, and he’s one of the troubles at times when the video games are going off a piece. He seems to lose the plot a bit. And he’s supposed to be one of the leaders? That’s a worry for me.”
England’s squad is deep in nice, allowing Jones to rotate his team round because the organization progresses. But Thompson went on to explain why this can be a terrible factor for the South African. “Sometimes, having such extensive electricity may be a weak spot because it’s about getting the combos proper,” he persisted. “It’s ridiculous what number of accurate players they’ve within the second row, and it’s quite sad clearly that in current years they had been missing there, yet now they’ve so many. “I’m worried that [Jones] will push some of the one’s players – like [Courtney] Lawes – into the back row, then you’ll lose the lower back row, and it will mess things round apiece. It’s a shame we’ve got four or 5 world elegance 2nd rows. “We’ll see inside the Tonga suit what his vision is and how he wants them to play, and we’ll simply take it from there.”
