On the decision, Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju stated, “Standardising the training on campus will allow athletes to reap tons better performances of their respective sport. When athletes of the equal level educate at a center, and the facilities are made solely to be had to them, they may educate higher and outcomes will display. We are working in close coordination with NSFs to ensure a clean transition of our current facilities into the National Centre of Excellence and to identify more centers.”
